Product Design Engineer | Internship

Qualifications & Experience

• A degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Intermediate proficiency in 3D modeling using Fusion 360 and familiarity with rendering software such as KeyShot, Blender, or Cinema 4D.
• Basic understanding of material selection, CMF design, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and other departments.

The Product Design Intern supports the design and development of new products, contributing to the process from initial concept to production. This role offers the opportunity to apply creativity, engineering knowledge, and visual communication skills to assist in bringing innovative products to life. The intern collaborates with cross-functional teams to help ensure feasibility, manufacturability, and visual consistency with the company’s brand. Additionally, the intern contributes to improving the customer experience by assisting in the design of intuitive and user-friendly products and packaging.

Product Concept Development:

• Assist in generating innovative product concepts informed by market research findings.
• Collaborate with the Creative Team to align designs with the company’s visual identity.

3D and CAD Modelling:

• Assist in selecting appropriate materials for product designs.
• Contribute to developing CMF specifications to enhance aesthetic and functional quality.
• Coordinate with the Product Team to review and ensure material quality.

Material Selection and CMF Design:

• Select appropriate materials for product design.
• Develop CMF (Color, Material, Finish) specifications to ensure aesthetic and functional quality.
• Work with Product Team to ensure material quality.

Product Packaging Design:

• Help design functional and visually appealing packaging solutions.
• Ensure packaging aligns with regulatory requirements and brand standards.

Product Customer Experience:

• Support the design of intuitive, user-friendly products and packaging to improve the customer experience.
• Assist in gathering customer feedback to refine product and packaging designs.

Collaboration:

• Work closely with the UI/UX Design Team to ensure cohesive product and user interface designs.
• Collaborate with the Creative Team to maintain brand consistency in all designs.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest design tools, technologies, and industry trends.
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve design processes and product quality.
