Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in IoT within the Industrial sector with proven record of transformations of factories to industry 4.0 sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of IoT connectivity, protocols, and security measures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
  • Established proven network in the MENA region and experience with diverse global clients.

Skills / Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of IoT platforms, devices, and frameworks.
  • Ability to visualize and strategize IoT integrations within various industrial frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Innovative problem solver with a knack for identifying and overcoming challenges in IoT deployment.
  • Proven leadership skills with an ability to mentor and motivate teams.

Job Description​

The Senior IoT Consultant will play a critical role in our commercial team, focusing on developing IoT strategies, empowering sales through advanced training and tools, identifying growth opportunities, and leading the charge in high-level technical discussions and decision-making. This role demands a blend of technical prowess and strategic insight, with a strong emphasis on real-world application of IoT in industrial settings.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Strategic Development

  • Architect and refine overarching IoT strategies that mesh with corporate objectives and market developments.
  • Scout and incorporate state-of-the-art IoT technologies and trends to sustain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to articulate a clear, long-term IoT vision and actionable short-term plans.


Sales Enablement

  • Construct and conduct comprehensive training programs for the sales team to elevate their understanding and effectiveness in selling IoT solutions.
  • Develop essential sales tools, including compelling presentations, demos, and case studies that underscore the value proposition of our IoT solutions.
  • Assist the sales team in client engagements, offering expert technical insights and support.
  • Open new opportunities for Onsor’s IoT product lines in the region and globally.


Opportunity Identification

  • Perform thorough market analysis to pinpoint untapped opportunities and potential new markets for IoT solutions.
  • Coordinate with marketing and business development teams to create targeted campaigns that address specific needs within the IoT ecosystem.
  • Keep a pulse on competitive dynamics and strategize to capitalize on our strengths and mitigate potential threats.


Business Case Development and Product consultancy

  • Lead the creation of robust business cases for new IoT solutions, detailing benefits, investment, risks, and expected returns.
  • Collaborate with financial and product teams to devise pricing strategies that optimize profitability while remaining market competitive.
  • Continuously assess and adjust existing product lines based on customer feedback and technological evolution.


Network Expansion

  • Expand and leverage a wide network of industry contacts to forge new business partnerships and collaborative initiatives.
  • Promote Onsor Technologies’ IoT capabilities at industry conferences, seminars, and networking events.
  • Forge and maintain strategic alliances with technology providers, integrators, and other stakeholders.


Technical Leadership

  • Maintain cutting-edge knowledge of IoT technologies, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Oversee technical aspects of IoT integration in client projects, guaranteeing solutions are robust, scalable, and innovative.
  • Solve complex IoT-related challenges, enhancing client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Interact with the technology team and support their ongoing innovation in IoT.
