Production Engineer

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant internships or project experience are welcome to apply.
• 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing, production engineering, or related field is advantageous but not required. 
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes, particularly for computing devices or IoT products, is desirable.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and manufacturing standards is a plus.
  

Skills / Knowledge

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly for  electronics and PCB assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Proficiency with CAD software, MS Office, and manufacturing or engineering software tools.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
• Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to manufacturing sites (10-15%).

Language Requirements

• English (fluent written and verbal) - Mandatory

The Production Engineer at Onsor Technologies will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing processes for our innovative computing devices and IoT solutions. This role will work closely with contract manufacturing partners to ensure efficient production, high quality standards, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The Production Engineer will help translate product designs into manufacturable products, troubleshoot production issues, and contribute to optimizing production costs while maintaining Onsor's commitment to innovation and quality.

Manufacturing Process Support

• Coordinate with contract manufacturers to implement and optimize production processes for computing devices and IoT products.
• Support the transition of new product designs from R&D to mass production, including prototype builds and pilot runs.
• Monitor production metrics (yield, throughput, cycle time) and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with design teams to ensure products are designed for manufacturability and assembly.

Quality and Process Improvement

• Analyze production data and defects to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in developing and implementing quality control procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
• Support manufacturing partners in implementing process controls and improvements.

Technical Documentation and Procedures

• Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions, assembly guides, and technical documentation
• Develop and update Bill of Materials (BOM) in collaboration with R&D and supply chain teams.
• Document manufacturing processes, test procedures, and quality requirements for contract manufacturers.

Production Issue Resolution

• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and work with contract manufacturers to implement solutions.
• Analyze production variances and quality issues to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Support failure analysis for returned products and field issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with R&D teams to ensure smooth transition of new designs to production.
• Collaborate with quality and supply chain teams to address component and manufacturing quality issues.
• Support operations team in responding to production challenges and implementing improvements.
