Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:  

• Fresh Graduates

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field  

• Strong academic foundation in electronics, circuit analysis, and embedded hardware

• Basic knowledge of PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad, or similar, gained through coursework or academic projects

• Understanding of analog and digital circuits, microcontrollers, and basic sensor interfacing

• Familiarity with hardware debugging and measurement tools, including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters

• Basic knowledge of communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, and UART

• Exposure to hardware prototyping, breadboarding, or DIY electronics through academic projects is a plus


Technical Skills:

• Strong fundamentals in electronics, circuits, and embedded hardware

• Knowledge of PCB design tools (Altium, KiCad, or similar)

• Understanding of analog/digital circuits, microcontrollers, and basic sensors

• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, multimeter)

• Understanding of basic communication protocols: SPI, I²C, UART

• Exposure to hardware prototyping, breadboarding, or DIY electronics is a plus

Job Description​

The Hardware Engineer (Fresh Graduate) supports the design, development, testing, and optimization of hardware for wearable medical and wellness devices. The role includes working on schematics, PCB design, prototyping, and hardware verification under the guidance of senior engineers. This engineer will work closely with firmware, mechanical, software, and QA/compliance teams to learn and contribute to building reliable, safe, and high-quality devices. The role emphasizes learning, growth, hands-on experimentation, and developing strong foundations in electronics design and hardware engineering best practices.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

1. Hardware Design & System Support

• Assist in designing hardware components including schematic design and component selection

• Support senior engineers in evaluating feasibility, performance, and design trade-offs

• Participate in concept exploration, component research, and early-stage prototyping

• Ensure designs meet expected functional, electrical, and safety requirements


2. PCB Design & Development

• Assist in PCB schematic capture and layout under supervision

• Learn PCB routing fundamentals (signal integrity, grounding, power distribution)

• Prepare BOMs and component documentation

• Collaborate with PCB manufacturers for prototype builds and fabrication Reviews


3. Hardware Bring-Up, Testing & Debugging

• Support board bring-up, hardware initialization, and functional testing

• Perform basic measurements using oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers

• Assist in debugging issues related to power, signal integrity, sensors, or interface

• Participate in hardware validation activities and test execution


4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

With Firmware Engineers

• Assist in verifying hardware–firmware interfaces

• Support testing drivers, peripherals, and communication protocols

With Mechanical/Industrial Design

• Ensure proper connector alignment, board shape fitting, and mechanical 

tolerances

With Compliance & QA

• Support preparation of documentation for CE/FCC/ISO/IEC testing

• Participate in pre-compliance tests and reliability checks

With Manufacturing & Operations

• Assist in EVT/DVT prototype testing and feedback collection

• Support DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) activities


5. Learning, Mentorship & Growth

• Work closely with the Senior Hardware Engineer to develop strong technical foundations

• Participate in design reviews, learning sessions, and hardware workshops

• Learn best practices in documentation, testing, and engineering processes

• Take initiative to improve skills in PCB design, debugging, and electronics theory


6. Agile Methodologies & Engineering Tools

• Participate in agile workflows, sprints, daily standups, and planning sessions

• Use ECAD tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or a similar tool

• Document tasks and progress using Jira, Notion, Git

• Maintain clear and organized work logs, test notes, and design files


7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate schematic updates, design notes, and technical logs

• Document test procedures, results, and troubleshooting steps

• Support production of hardware documentation for internal use and compliance
